Total Eclipse in Virgo on Tuesday the 3rd March 2026

The Full Moon total eclipse across the mutable axis of service to work and humanity calls on all for a time of spiritual compassion and dedication to the greater good in our current situations. With the Sun trining Jupiter in Cancer, changes to take place around the time of this eclipse will certainly open doors to further opportunities for explorations (look to the house Jupiter is transiting in your natal chart) and will highlight so much potential and perhaps even glory or recognition in the house the Sun falls into in your natal chart during the time of the eclipse. Where have you been offering your support, compassion and service and how might this finally be recognised? Wherever this may be, you may feel nurtured due to positive alignments through the house the Moon falls into for you.

In terms of world events, acts of service that have been needed from civil servants, local organisations and governments will come as they will pull through in ways they need to at this time, serving the public in ways that leave no detail unearthed that will bring a greater sense of security and peace. Huge changes are on the horizon and substantial justice will be served. Saturn is well out of Pisces now and has moved on from Neptune for the final time now, whilst both are in Aries so boundaries are generally much simpler and straight-forward to take hold and authorities are in much stronger positions now.

Water signs specifically are to receive a boost of luck and positivity this week, especially as the beneficial planets, Jupiter, Venus, and the Sun are all transiting water signs right now. The North Node also being in a water sign solidifies that they are naturally aligning themselves to the climate that the rest of the world is heading towards.

Pallas in conjunction with the Sun means we are all ready to call upon our warrioress in order to tackle the life’s daily grind and difficulties. She is of a strong, clever, creative and wily energy and knows how to craft many tools at her disposal from scratch. Pallas is also deeply intuitive and understand instinctively when to sit back with patience and when to take action.

Mercury is now retrograde in Pisces and has been since the 26th Feb, beginning at 22°
Pisces. He will turn direct then on the 20th March at 08° Pisces when touching conjunction with the North Node. Mercury isn’t acting to his greatest strength in Pisces to begin with, being opposite Virgo which is the sign he rules, so this along with his retrograde motion means it is wise during this time to take care carrying out anything that requires extra attention to detail or reliance on administration and menial tasks. Things such as signing important documents, buying mechanical things with working parts and electronics (cars, TV’s, computers) or having conversations, talks and meetings that many people are counting on may be best scheduled after the retrograde period.

Venus moves into Aries on the 6th then a new Venus-Neptune synodic cycle will begin on the 7th and a Venus-Saturn cycle on the 8th. In terms of romance, money and our social lives, this is yet another fresh start in terms of stability, responsibility, compassion and having our bigger dreams met in accordance with the universal flow of energies, that will last many months ahead. These being right after the eclipse means they are also super-charged in support of dramatic changes and setting us off on paths that are truly intended for us this coming year.

This total eclipse is also known as the seed Moon in ancient Celtic traditions or the worm Moon in native American tribal traditions. The Full Moon in March is known by these names because there’s a renewal of energies, new growth and the re-emergence of wildlife such as worms and beetles in a ground that’s fertile and ready for spring. It’s the month when many new seeds are planted, both metaphorically and literally and when we’re nearing the start of the astrological New Year.

Enjoy the remainder of the eclipse season!! Gemma, your local astrologer.

A Sun-Mars-Venus super conjunction in Capricorn today

There’s a Sun-Mars-Venus super conjunction in Capricorn right now and all are opposed by Jupiter. Jupiter and Venus are beneficial planets so we may see a lot of harmonious growth in whatever we’re doing right now. Mars is a fighting planet and the Sun is our identity and our light so we’re aligned and strong in the things we’re setting our sights too. However, oppositions are hard aspects and with Jupiter in opposition there’s likely some playing around and some trial and error going on today, perhaps even some light disagreements or at the very least some testing or teasing going on. Playing your cards right this day could grab you some long-term benefits with Saturn ruling this mix. Have a great day!

The Solar Eclipse in Virgo – A Black Moon

The solar eclipse today is the final eclipse of 2025, opening up opportunities for fresh starts, as the universe unfolds and expands before us whilst bringing in new themes relating to the autumnal equinox. The autumn equinox is the peak part of the astrological solar cycle, that begins with the astrological New Year at the spring equinox, so it will be no surprise to see our lives changing and shifting around this time with lots of emotional activities and things falling in line with the expression of our core identity, as signified by the Sun.

The chart of the solar eclipse is in Virgo, with Venus and South Node in the same sign, firstly promises that there are going to be some huge transformations over the next few weeks that will be personal for us all and of course, many that will spill over into society as proof of collective shifts. Positive changes are set to happen within our relationships effortlessly and with ease, as facilitated by the applying grand trine to Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini. We will be able to call upon our strength, mental resilience and ability to transform at a deep level in order to adapt to the changes taking place, the build-up to the majority and culmination of these coming forth at the time of the Full Moon in Aries on the 7th October.

With the kite configuration between the New Moon, Pluto, Uranus, Saturn and Neptune, reflections are being made on morality and boundaries, yet many difficulties are now in the past as lessons are being learned and instead, we move towards a place of deep understanding yet with passions for moving ahead and treading new ground.

Distance in romance is a thing of the past this coming lunar cycle with Venus separating from her square with Uranus and a focussed control on fairness in heated debates may take it’s place. Be sure to have a look at where the planets and configurations are landing and in which houses of your natal chart to see which life areas are being activated for you over the coming few weeks.

Much love and warm blessings, Gem.

Ch Ch Ch Ch Changes .. The New Moon in Capricorn today, 11th January 2024

The New Moon at 20° Capricorn this Thursday opens up the doors for us to many changes and shifts, but only if we are ready. Starting with an applying conjunction to Pluto (albeit a wide conjunction), the Moon will then pass Scorpio’s ruling planet in the early hours of Friday the 12th to begin a new Moon-Pluto cycle, opposing on the 25th of January, the same day as the Full Moon in Cancer. So, this lunar cycle is very much synchronizing with two of our water sign rulers cyclically and the two represent both change and deep emotions. The question is, are you ready to embrace the changes?

The New Moon also trines Uranus, another indicator of change, but with Uranus, the change can often be sudden and unexpected. We may not necessarily see the jarring change that can be indicated by the Uranus hard aspects, but with the trine we see today from the New Moon we might expect some real progressions in our relationships and perhaps even some exciting developments.

With this mixture of the potential uprooting of complex, deep emotions and new developments, there’s also a promised, added dose of a desire for expansion and exploration this lunar cycle with Mars trine Jupiter and we can expect to see these energies increasing in light or ‘cooking in the pot on the stove’ over the next two weeks, until the time of Full Moon in Leo on Thursday the 25th of January.

The Mars trine Jupiter aspect occurs in earth signs Capricorn and Taurus today, so a real desire for something extra, both material and practical could take hold. With Capricorn’s ruler Saturn in a sextile to both Mars and Jupiter, it might be a good idea to follow your impulses, ambitions, and desires as something well worth your while could come from it that could last you a lifetime.

Finally, with Chiron squaring the New Moon, albeit with a wide orb of more than 5°, there are chances of deep wounds coming to the surface, of course, to request healing if the opportunity is taken, and no doubt Pluto will be more than happy to assist with this process. This is most likely to happen between the 17th and the 21st of January, as the Moon passes Chiron before the first quarter Moon in Aries on the 18th (a stress point of the cycle), then Jupiter and Uranus and as the Sun moves into his exact conjunction with Pluto on the 20th and the 21st.

Of course then on the 21st Pluto will move into Aquarius, just in time to bring in some real fresh themes in time for the Full Moon on the 25th. There should be some real thematic shifts between the 21st and the 27th with this and the Sun moving into Aquarius, Venus moving into Capricorn, Black Moon Lilith moving into Virgo and then Uranus turning direct to officially mark the end of the retrograde season. What a bang, let’s hope it’s a good one.

I hope you all have a great lunar month!
