Total Eclipse in Virgo on Tuesday the 3rd March 2026

The Full Moon total eclipse across the mutable axis of service to work and humanity calls on all for a time of spiritual compassion and dedication to the greater good in our current situations. With the Sun trining Jupiter in Cancer, changes to take place around the time of this eclipse will certainly open doors to further opportunities for explorations (look to the house Jupiter is transiting in your natal chart) and will highlight so much potential and perhaps even glory or recognition in the house the Sun falls into in your natal chart during the time of the eclipse. Where have you been offering your support, compassion and service and how might this finally be recognised? Wherever this may be, you may feel nurtured due to positive alignments through the house the Moon falls into for you.

In terms of world events, acts of service that have been needed from civil servants, local organisations and governments will come as they will pull through in ways they need to at this time, serving the public in ways that leave no detail unearthed that will bring a greater sense of security and peace. Huge changes are on the horizon and substantial justice will be served. Saturn is well out of Pisces now and has moved on from Neptune for the final time now, whilst both are in Aries so boundaries are generally much simpler and straight-forward to take hold and authorities are in much stronger positions now.

Water signs specifically are to receive a boost of luck and positivity this week, especially as the beneficial planets, Jupiter, Venus, and the Sun are all transiting water signs right now. The North Node also being in a water sign solidifies that they are naturally aligning themselves to the climate that the rest of the world is heading towards.

Pallas in conjunction with the Sun means we are all ready to call upon our warrioress in order to tackle the life’s daily grind and difficulties. She is of a strong, clever, creative and wily energy and knows how to craft many tools at her disposal from scratch. Pallas is also deeply intuitive and understand instinctively when to sit back with patience and when to take action.

Mercury is now retrograde in Pisces and has been since the 26th Feb, beginning at 22°
Pisces. He will turn direct then on the 20th March at 08° Pisces when touching conjunction with the North Node. Mercury isn’t acting to his greatest strength in Pisces to begin with, being opposite Virgo which is the sign he rules, so this along with his retrograde motion means it is wise during this time to take care carrying out anything that requires extra attention to detail or reliance on administration and menial tasks. Things such as signing important documents, buying mechanical things with working parts and electronics (cars, TV’s, computers) or having conversations, talks and meetings that many people are counting on may be best scheduled after the retrograde period.

Venus moves into Aries on the 6th then a new Venus-Neptune synodic cycle will begin on the 7th and a Venus-Saturn cycle on the 8th. In terms of romance, money and our social lives, this is yet another fresh start in terms of stability, responsibility, compassion and having our bigger dreams met in accordance with the universal flow of energies, that will last many months ahead. These being right after the eclipse means they are also super-charged in support of dramatic changes and setting us off on paths that are truly intended for us this coming year.

This total eclipse is also known as the seed Moon in ancient Celtic traditions or the worm Moon in native American tribal traditions. The Full Moon in March is known by these names because there’s a renewal of energies, new growth and the re-emergence of wildlife such as worms and beetles in a ground that’s fertile and ready for spring. It’s the month when many new seeds are planted, both metaphorically and literally and when we’re nearing the start of the astrological New Year.

Enjoy the remainder of the eclipse season!! Gemma, your local astrologer.

The Post ~ 14th September 2019

There’s a Full Moon in Pisces next Saturday, the 14th September, exacting at around 04:30 am in the UK.

This Full Moon is all about service, self sacrifice and the renewal of efforts towards the well-structured plans we have had in place so far throughout this year, as we aim further towards our long-term goals and well-thought-out projects. There may have been times this year when we have felt less faithful or like times are a little too hard, but this Full Moon on Saturday and both the preceding and following weeks should finally help bring about a sense of newness of hope or a new boost of gusto.
