There’s a Full Moon in Scorpio this Tuesday, 27th April, at 432 am in the UK.
On Tuesday, the Full Moon in Scorpio will be opposing a lovely stellium of four planets in Taurus, including the Sun, so as well as the investigative, penetrative, and private energies of Scorpio highlighting the sky between now and then, we have a good old huge dose of kind-natured, fixed and loving Taurus. With Mars newly in Cancer now too, focus this Full Moon may be on home, family, and on instinctively nurturing our own emotional boundaries and well-being. All planets except two (Saturn and Jupiter) are now in the feminine or yin energy signs, so we may be now feeling a lot more like staying at home, putting our feet up, and forgetting any and all of the drama that is going on in the world. All we need now is good food, our favourite TV show and family, right?!
Happy birthday to Steven Frayne (aka Dynamo the magician), who’s from Bradford, West Yorkshire (UK).
Some interesting things about Dynamo’s natal chart are his strong 5th house of entertainment and creative expressions, containing his Moon (which trines his Asc), Mercury, Venus and SN. Both his MC and Asc are ruled by Mercury, located in his 5th house and his 5th house is ruled by Saturn, which is located in his 3rd with Jupiter in Scorpio. This is a classic example of a repetition of themes in a chart, this time pointing to a love of delivering faceted information in a fun and captivating way.
Also presented in his Placidus chart is his Sun-Neptune conjunction his 4th house, bringing to mind his natural proclivity for illusion and mystery. Mars, in its joy in his 6th house of work, rules both his 8th and 3rd houses, further supporting these themes.
There are indications in Steven’s natal chart that suggests he may experience some level of discomfort when details close to his personal life appear in the public eye, despite his fame, which is evident from all of his planets residing in the Northern hemisphere of his chart. This means he may be most comfortable remaining private and may even be seen as an intensely private person to those who know him best. Still, a well-known public image can become increasingly likely when there are planets forming major aspects to the MC and here, Steven has his Uranus, which is his 6th house ruler, opposing his MC. Uranus rules his 6th house of work while forming a partile sextile to Mars in Aquarius, also in his 6th. This is a signature to both his unusual and off-beat profession and his independent streak, which he demonstrated in the launching of his own production company, Inner Circle Films in 2016, also very typical of a strong 5th house.
Unfortunately, Steven Frayne was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease when he was 17 years old, not long after Neptune moved into his 6th house by transit and was accompanied by Uranus, bringing forward a theme of weakened immunity, a potential that is signified by his Sun-Neptune conjunction in his 4th house, squaring his Ascendant in Virgo and his Mars-Saturn square ruling his 6th, 8th and 3rd houses. Virgo and the 6th house are classic significators of nutrition and digestive health and Mars afflictions further denote potentialities for physical difficulties with the digestive tract and irritation and inflammation.
Dynamo began his career as a magician after moving to London in 2004, while transformative Pluto was transiting his 4th house of home and Neptune still transited his 6th house, that year exactly trining his MC at 13°23′ Gemini. This highlights his skill as a master of illusion, with an easy flow of planetary energy into the public eye with his career and public image. Not only was it also the year of his Uranus square, a 6th house co-ruler, but Jupiter was transiting his 2nd house too, pertaining to the expansion and exploration of talents and personal worth. Brilliant!

There’s a New Moon Total Eclipse in Sagittarius tomorrow, 14th December, at 16:17 in the UK.
The New Moon tomorrow will be in Sagittarius at 23°, conjoining Mercury on the Moon’s South Node (also both in Sagittarius) whilst trining Mars in Aries. So there’s some fire energy here! Yes, even though Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius is still in Capricorn, flanked closely by both Saturn and Pluto, we do have some fire working-out within these trines of the New Moon. I feel that Jupiter’s position in late Capricorn in-between these two heavy planets is perfectly symbolic of the position we find ourselves in at the moment, as a nation (and globally). We are nearing the end of one of the heaviest, most transformational years we have had for a long time in which many of our freedoms have been thwarted, much like some of Jupiter’s free and fiery energy may be thwarted during the time he finds himself sandwiched amidst this configuration of planets. Jupiter here represents us and our personal freedom to explore the world and our surroundings and our sense of an ending to this adversity can be represented by Jupiter’s onward movement out of Capricorn and into an air sign; Jupiter will be strengthened via triplicity ruler in Aquarius here.
Therefore, as the ruler of our New Moon Total Solar Eclipse is in a somewhat frustrated position, looking forward to an end to all this, which will no doubt be marked by a series of perfectly-timed conjunctions with Saturn in Aquarius, we have a good dose of fire energy to feed our restlessness and creative endeavours as we lie in wait for the world to get back to ‘normal’. That fire energy is in the shape of a New Moon with a detriment Mercury.
There’s a New Moon in Taurus this Sunday, 15th November, at 05:07 in the UK.
The New Moon this Sunday is in Scorpio at 23°, trining Neptune, which is in domicile in Pisces and this means that we have a wonderfully watery New Moon coming up for us this weekend. The water sign energy can heighten our intuition and general sensitivity, so this is a great time to meditate to listen more closely to the things your gut has been trying to tell you over the past two months, while Mars has been retrograde.
Yes Mars, our fiery, red planet that is most comfortable blazing onward with vigour has been on his [apparent] backwards path since the 9th September, so it is not unusual at all if you have been feeling somewhat stifled or like you’re trudging through mud lately. Now on this day Friday 13th, while I am writing this article, Mars is finally moving direct-wards again so we can happily invite some greater movement and confidence into our lives from this day, going forward. Things might seem a lot clearer during the New Moon too, for this reason.
There’s a Full Moon in Gemini this Thursday, the 12th December, exacting at around 05:11 in the UK.
This Full Moon in Gemini is all about learning how to ‘go with the flow’ without a desire to influence or change those things around you that you know you can have no control over. With Mars passing the centre of Scorpio at 15° there may certainly be some extra desire for power or influence lately stirring within us, whether that be simply control over our own lives or something else. But at the time of the Full Moon on Wednesday, Mars will be in a partile trine with Neptune in Pisces and this easy and supportive aspect with Neptune will encourage us to release our grip and allow the subconscious urges that are gracefully artistic and at one with the natural flow of the cosmos to run through us, opening our minds to a more peaceful super-consciousness.
There’s a Full Moon in Pisces next Saturday, the 14th September, exacting at around 04:30 am in the UK.
This Full Moon is all about service, self sacrifice and the renewal of efforts towards the well-structured plans we have had in place so far throughout this year, as we aim further towards our long-term goals and well-thought-out projects. There may have been times this year when we have felt less faithful or like times are a little too hard, but this Full Moon on Saturday and both the preceding and following weeks should finally help bring about a sense of newness of hope or a new boost of gusto.
Tips for making the most out of the coming Full Moon
There’s a Full Moon this Friday, the 23rd November, exacting at around 5:39am in the UK.
The Moon will be at a critical degree of a mutable sign this month, therefore there is likely to be a theme in the days running up to the Full Moon and for approximately a week after that, that centres around incorporating some adaptability of our mental attitudes and/ or our perceptions towards our way of living somehow. How this actually unfolds in our lives and in which area of life it affects might depend greatly on which of our houses the Sun and Moon fall into next Friday. The brilliant thing is that the Sun will be conjoining Jupiter with only Continue reading
There’s a Full Moon this Friday, the 27th July, which reaches its fullest at 19 minutes past 8 in the evening in the UK.
In Air sign Aquarius, this Full Moon will primarily be highlighting (or bringing to our attention) our own, unique ways of thinking and our styles of communication, especially amongst our friends and in group settings. Usually there is something unavoidable which is staring straight at us, that is deeply meaningful to us, causing us to ponder, or something that is emotionally triggering us during a Full Moon and, with the Moon’s tight conjunction with Mars in Retrograde this month, it could be something we are deeply passionate about or even something that makes us uncomfortably annoyed (or uncomfortably excited, even). An Astrological forecast for this New Moon period and the fortnight ahead.
Tomorrow, the New Moon is in Aries at 26°, which is the same degree of the New Moon that was in Pisces on the 17th March earlier this year. This means that those of you born with your Sun, another personal planet (Mercury, Venus, Mars or Moon) or an important angle Continue reading
An Astrological forecast for this Full Moon period and the fortnight ahead.
Yes, as you’ve probably heard, there’s another Blood Moon tomorrow, which will make it the second one this year! This time the Moon will become Full during a Mercury retrograde in Aries, but, even though we may have all had our own Continue reading
